EMPTIES | Beauty, Body and Hair

SONY DSC

I think this is my first ever ’empties’ post…! It’s a mixed bag and I have used them in full as I actually really liked them all (with some minor critique)

Vaselines Spray & Go in Cocao Radiant

This is my second can, and officially my all time favourite body moisturiser! I’m so lazy when it comes to moisturising, but this gives me no excuse. Its lightweight and quickly absorbed into the skin. Love, love, love!

MAC Studio Sculpt foundation in NC15

This has lasted me just shy of 12 months, I love that its in a squeezy tube so you can get out every last drop out. I have loved this foundation, but i always found it never applied flawlessly unless i had just cleansed and exfoliated my skin, otherwise it would just cling to any hint of dryness on my face. I’ve used up the majority of this over the summer mixed in with my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel making a cheeky little tinted moisturiser on good skin days. I think I would repurchase this, but theres other things I want to try purchase first.

MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base

I really enjoyed this product, and I made a point of using this only on nights out (which are few and far between) as it did really help with creating a smooth, flawless finish. I’m not sure if it helped in making the makeup last longer as with a night out i cant say I’m ever out for 12 hours… so it wasn’t something I was judging! A good piece to add into the kit though, so yes, a repurchase is on the cards!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in shade 52

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with this foundation. Its ended with ‘love’ though. When I first purchased it, I absolutely despised it. So much so, that I fobbed it off to my mum, and when I left my makeup bag at the boyfriends one weekend I resorted to sneaking back into her en-suite and claiming it back, and I’m not sure what had changed, but me and Healthy Mix got on very well. I just loved how natural it made my skin look. I’ve been scraping the bottle for about a week now, I’m going to need to buy it again!

Cutex Moisture Guard Polish Remover

This is always a staple in my nail kit. It smells much nicer than cheap polish remover, and it doesn’t leave my nails feeling horrendous. Needless to say, I’ve already got a new one on the go!

Morrisons Dry Shampoo in Fantastically Floral

I was getting my lunch one day during my break at work, and i could feel my hair getting limp and a bit slick at the roots, there was no Bastitse on the shelve and only Dove’s dry shampoo at £5 a pop. Then this jumped out at me, £1.59, I took the risk and I wasnt horrified at the results. It did the job, just left a bit more residue at the roots than the more expensive Dry Shampoos.

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara

I have used this since i was about 17, and kept repurchasing it as i got so many compliments on my lashes. My taste in mascara has changed though and this is just too clumpy and wet for me now, maybe I will fall back in love with this in the future, but for now Lancome Hynose Drama, I bid you good day!

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner

This was a magazine freebie at some point in life, I have really enjoyed it but it just wasn’t black enough for me. Ergonomically though, it was easy to use as it was so slim, it could create a gorgeous cat eye.

Benefits They’re Real Mascara

Only had a sample size, but LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have it on my wish list for products to buy!
